Tippy Canoe teaches the Ukulele to Beginners of all ages.
Learn to strum, hold the uke correctly, play a favorite song, and find that musical talent you have hidden away in you. Lessons are taught in the folk tradition of passing down knowledge and experience from person-to-person. Basic music theory and the vital steps to learning a new instrument correctly will be included, but the focus is on the fun of sitting down with this little 4-stringed wonder and expressing yourself. Private lessons are are available by appointment on Saturdays in Alameda. To schedule: Please contact Lessons@TippyCanoe.net or call 510.788.0171 Monthly Rates: 1 hour lessons / 1 student / 4-week session = $240 30 minute lessons / 1 student / 4-week session = $120 Lessons for Two Students or more: 1 hour lessons / 2 students / 4-week session = $360 30 minute lessons / 2 students / 4-week session = $180 *additional students added at Teacher's discretion. *Single one-on-one lessons are available ala Carte at $60 per hour or $30 per half hour. Lessons for two students are available ala Carte at $90 per hour or $45 per half hour. A monthly program is recommended to give yourself the time and consistency to grow. Referral Rewards: When a new student that you have referred purchases lessons you will receive a complimentary 30-minute class or 1/2 off your next 60-minute lesson. Lesson appointments changed or canceled with less than 24-hours notice are subject to a $10 fee in addition to the regular rate. Students more than 15-minutes late for a lesson appointment will be required to reschedule and pay a $10 late fee in addition to the regular rate. *Emergency situations and serious illness are excluded from late/short notice change fees.
